Privacy policy

Last updated October 11, 2026

RollHound (“RollHound,” “we,” “us”) helps you search for jobs and prepare applications. A job search involves personal information, so we collect only what the service needs, keep it private to your account, and never sell it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

  • Account: your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time link.
  • Profile and job preferences: such as your name, contact details, LinkedIn URL, location, target job titles and salary requirements.
  • Career evidence: the experience, results, credentials and any files (such as resumes or certificates) you add to your evidence library.
  • Applications: the application drafts RollHound prepares, your edits and approvals, and the status of each application.
  • Messages: anything you send us, for example by email.

Information collected automatically

  • Activity in the app: actions such as saving settings, approving a draft or changing plans are recorded in your account's activity and audit log, for security and so you can see what happened.
  • Technical data: such as IP address, browser type and request logs kept by our hosting providers.
  • Website analytics: on our public pages (such as the home, About and FAQ pages) we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, approximate location, device and referring site. We don't use Google Analytics inside the signed-in app, and we don't send your profile, evidence or applications to Google. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by RollHound. We receive limited billing information from Stripe, such as your plan, subscription status and renewal date. Stripe's use of your information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

How we use information

  • To provide the service: find and score jobs for you, and prepare applications from your evidence.
  • To sign you in, keep your account secure, and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To respond to you and send service messages (for example, sign-in links and billing receipts).
  • To understand and improve our public website and the service.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers. We don't use your evidence or applications to train AI models.

Service providers we use

We share information only with providers that help us run RollHound, and only what each one needs:

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and private file storage.
  • Stripe: payments and subscription billing.
  • Anthropic: on paid plans, AI writing of job notes and application drafts. Relevant profile, evidence and job details are sent to Anthropic's API to produce that text.
  • Google Analytics: visitor analytics on our public pages, as described above.
  • Hosting and email delivery providers: to run the website and send sign-in and service emails.
  • Job data providers: we send job search criteria (such as job titles and locations) to job listing sources to find jobs. We don't send them your name, contact details or evidence.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

Applications you send

When you approve and submit a job application, the information in it goes to that employer and its hiring systems, and their own privacy policies apply. RollHound doesn't send anything to an employer without your approval.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies:

  • Essential: to keep you signed in, and to return you to the right page after you sign in.
  • Preferences: to remember your light or dark appearance setting.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics cookies on our public pages, as described above.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but you'll need essential cookies to sign in.

Security

Your data is protected with encryption in transit, database access rules that keep each account's data separate, private file storage, and passwordless sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.

How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, evidence, files and applications, except for records we must keep for legal, tax, accounting or security reasons (such as payment records).

Your choices and rights

  • You can view and update your profile and evidence, and delete evidence, at any time in the app.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing help@rollhound.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
  • Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under local law. We honor those rights and won't treat you differently for using them.

Children

RollHound is for job seekers 18 and older and is not directed to children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.
