Terms of service
Last updated October 11, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and RollHound (“RollHound,” “we,” “us”) for your use of the RollHound website and service. By creating an account or using RollHound, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use RollHound.
1. What RollHound does
RollHound is a job search tool. It searches job listings from third-party sources, scores how well each job fits the requirements you set, and helps you prepare job applications based on the experience you provide. RollHound is not an employer, recruiter or employment agency, and it doesn't place candidates in jobs.
2. No guarantee of a job
We work hard to help you find and apply for the right jobs, but we can't promise interviews, offers or employment. Hiring decisions are made by employers. Results depend on many things outside our control.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- Give us accurate information and keep your email address current, since we use it to sign you in.
- You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access to it.
- One person per account. Don't share or resell your account.
4. Your information and applications
- You're responsible for what you submit. Only add experience, credentials and other information that is true and that you have the right to share.
- Review before you send. RollHound prepares drafts from your evidence and doesn't send an application without your approval. You're responsible for reviewing every application and for what you submit to employers.
- You own your content. You keep ownership of the information and files you add. You give us permission to store, process and use it only as needed to provide RollHound to you.
5. AI and job listings
RollHound uses automated scoring and AI-generated text. These can be wrong or incomplete, so use your own judgment and check important details. Job listings come from third parties; we don't control them and can't guarantee that a listing is accurate, current, legitimate or still open. Be cautious of any “employer” that asks you for money or sensitive financial information.
6. Plans, payment and automatic renewal
- RollHound offers a Free plan and paid plans. Current prices and features are shown on our plans page.
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (every month or every 3 months, depending on what you choose) at the then-current price, and your payment method is charged until you cancel.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and don't include applicable taxes.
- If we change the price of your plan, we'll tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next billing period. You can cancel before then.
- If a payment fails, we may retry it. If it still can't be collected, your account may move to the Free plan.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel anytime from Plan & billing → Manage billing in your account. Your paid plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then moves to the Free plan. Payments are non-refundable, except where required by law. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information to employers, or use RollHound to impersonate anyone.
- Use RollHound to spam employers or to break any law or any job site's or employer's terms.
- Try to get around security, usage limits or plan restrictions, or access other users' data.
- Scrape, copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, or overload it with automated requests.
- Upload malware or content you don't have the right to share.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using RollHound and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk. If we close your account without cause, we'll refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
10. Our service
We may change, add or remove features over time. The RollHound name, logo, software and website are owned by us and protected by law; these terms don't give you rights to them beyond using the service.
11. Disclaimers
RollHound is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that job listings or AI-generated content will be accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, RollHound won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, wages, earnings or employment opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to RollHound is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if that is greater. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. Indemnity
You agree to cover any claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from information you submit or your violation of these terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use RollHound after that means you accept the updated terms.
